The HandMeDownHaven.com Story

HandMeDownHaven.com began years ago even before there was a name.

As with many families, antiques, knicknacks and other belongings are accepted happily when given (as gifts, as inheritance or just because) or purchased at local yard, tag, garage and estate sales. Many are merged into everyday life and still more are boxed up and placed in the attic, basement or garage until needed (??). We are no exception. I believe our family currently has more than our fair share of antiques, costume jewelry, vintage books, vinyl records, unique doohickeys and other such memorabilia and collectibles including household items from as many as 7...8...10...(Oh, I lost count) households.

They say people know when it's time to say enough is enough. And for us, now is the time. We are starting off with a small online collection and will add items frequently with the intent of having something for everyone at some time or another. These boxes of household family remembrances are a lot for one roof to cover but not so bad for many roofs. We like to think of this as handing our old memories down to you, hence the name - Hand Me Down Haven.

We hope that you all enjoy visiting our virtual attic and come back often. If you have any comments or questions, please don't hesitate to e-mail. If you are looking for something in particular, let us know. We can't promise that we have what you are looking for, but the more people who know you want it, the better chance you have of finding it. Maybe we'll start a blog or forum here....hmmm

Thanks again for visiting,

Patti Duckett (aka Auntie P)

PS: Thanks for the moniker Michael, Ashley, Kyle and Nicholas!
